Some of the world’s finest premium gourmet coffees are grown in Sumatra (an island in Southeast Asia that seems ideally suited for growing arabica coffee) and called Mandheling, Ankola, and Lintong, these unique coffees are distinguished by their heavy body, earthy flavor profile and low acidity.

  • Notes: Strong cedar notes, consistent, balanced, sweet tobacco, winey, spicy, chocolate

  • Region: Batak Region of West-Central Sumatra, Aceh

  • Process: Giling Basah (Wet-hulled), Sun-dried

  • Cultivars: Catimor, Typica
